It's safe to say that I have a fishing problem and maybe a hunting one too. I just can't get enough of being outdoors and the experiences that come with it. No two days are ever the same when it comes to fishing and hunting. Constant learning of techniques, behavior/weather patterns, and all the surprises that go against everything we "know" makes it all fascinating to me. There are so many fun ways to experience the outdoors locally that I refuse to box myself in to just tournament bass fishing. Although expect a lot of that as it has been a focus of mine for 20+ years now.

Most of my current tournament activities are in west Michigan but I have fished all around the state and several top fisheries down south. We are lucky to have a highly competitive local bass scene around here and tournaments draw big numbers.

Aside from fishing I reside in Norton Shores with my wife, 2 wonderful daughters, and my retriever Hutch. We love living in a place so close to the Great Lakes and with so much to do. We came here from south east Michigan due to my career as a fisheries biologist. I primarily study the status of the lower food web in Lake Michigan and am fortunate to have an office right on the beach.

I've been involved in the fishing industry for over a decade now and have been involved in many successful partnerships. I've worked many outdoor shows, appeared on podcasts, given seminars, and been heavily involved with outdoor writing. You'll find a lot of that if you follow along with the blogs/social media for adventures of all sorts. In addition to tournament bass experiences fishing expect multispecies fishing, ice fishing, tips and tricks, product spotlights, hunting, wild game cooking and who knows what else might pop up.
