Humminbird MEGA 360 Success

What can I say about MEGA 360 other than it helped me catch quite a few fish this season. I feel blind bass fishing without that thing scanning 360 around my boat and alerting me to productive structure and even fish to cast to. I’m excited to get a MEGA LIVE on the boat also but I don’t see it replacing my 360.

One situation the 360 really shined this year is when fishing a specific object. It would often be something I found while using SI or actually using the 360 itself. It allows me to target an isolated weed clump or a hard object down there with ease. It takes a little practice and sometimes a couple casts to get it in the sweet spot but it often pays off.

You can see in the above image all the bass just to the left of that isolated piece of wood. I made an absolute mess by positioning myself downwind of this log and catching almost every bass that was on it. It also gives you a good idea of when some follow the fish you have hooked to the boat and when to cast at them if they reposition somewhere nearby. It definitely was one of those moments where things really clicked between me and my electronics. Finding them without Humminbird Side Imaging would have been impossible and it would have been much more difficult to catch them without being able to make precise casts with the 360.
