New Rods!

I’ve been waiting for awhile but since Icast has finally come and gone there are some much awaited new Favorite Rods available. They got some of their top pro’s involved in this project. Pro input is always a good thing and the rods are just a touch more specialized. Which is what a tournament guy like myself is looking for. They also come in at all different price points from the B.Lat Sick Stick at 119.99 to the MDJ Hex 399.99.

I’ve been on the lookout for the MDJ Hex flipping stick so I picked one of those up right away. It was incredibly light and balanced but that wasn’t the best part. The thing is so sensitive, I can really feel the weight hitting hard or bunched up spots in matted grass. It almost feels like a bite and it took me a minute to get used to. I gave it a workout at Saginaw Bay and it definitely passed the test. If you are looking for a high end flipping stick or grass rod this is the one.

I haven’t tried any of the others yet but I certainly plan to, here is a look at some of the other rods.

B Lat Sick Stick 119.99 - 2 casting and 1 spinning

Andy Morgan Pro Battle Rod 149.99 - 1 casting (flipping stick)

Zack Birge Rush Rods 249.99 -2 casting and 1 spinning

JVD Jack Hammer 289.99 - 2 spinning

Dustin Connell 349.99 - 1 Casting

Mark Daniels Jr 399.99 - 1 casting
