New Clam Products 2022 Ice Season

I know we’ve got a bit but it’s not too early to start thinking about ice fishing. In conjunction with Clam’s Pro Day all the new ice fishing products were released recently. You can find them all on the Clam Outdoors website but I wanted to show you a few of my favorites.

Something we all like to be able to do is stand up in a portable shanty. The new XT design by clam is the answer for all the tall guys. The Kenai XT Thermal - Ice Team is a tall package for a 1 man shack. A maximum height of 73” is a big difference from smaller shanties of the past. It’s a great way to add more comfort without adding a bunch of weight.

If you are a hub shelter user we’ve expanded our line of ClamLock accessories. They simply are an accessory to the hub that is already part of your shanty. An added bonus is they are compatible with many other brands shelters if you don’t have one of ours. The ClamLock phone holder and ClamLock LED light are 2 of my favorites.

An addition to the popular Jason Mitchell series is the graphite dead meat combo. The sanded fiberglass models aren’t going anywhere but I think this is a great addition to the line. An emphasis on sensitivity vs the bite detection tip on the fiberglass models is the difference here. Available in 7 different actions and a Dakota Perch model with an extra long spring bobber, these are sure to be a hit this year.

The Pinhead minnow has a huge following for magnum panfish in Minnesota. While it’s still gaining traction here it has been discontinued and replaced with the pinhead pro minnow. Swapping lead for environmentally friendly tin alloy is the big difference here. The pinhead pro kit with 3 different colors is a great place to start with them!

Who doesn’t need to swap treble hooks from time to time? It’s often hard to find ice fishing sized ones especially in the desired finishes and quality wire. Clam has brought trebles to the market this year with the Gaff and Gaff X treble hooks this year. The Gaff hooks are conventional treble hooks while the Gaff X feature XTS points that are just a little different and are available in black nickel, red, and polychromatic colors.
