Humminbird MEGA 360 - Spring

I’ve had a couple instances this spring where Humminbird MEGA 360 really made a huge difference for me. I’ve got some cool screenshots to share and a couple tips to help you get the most out of yours. 1 thing I always do is run it on 2x zoom since it gives me a much bigger picture. Simply just hit the + button one time while in 360 mode to achieve this.

The first example came on a family up north trip this year. We got up there and the wind was ripping and we had some light rain. I just couldn’t stand it though and need to go get my bed fishing fix. I knew some areas where they would be bedding on that particular lake but despite clear water I couldn’t see very far at all from the boat. Luckily they were making some really defined beds that couldn’t hide from MEGA 360. I could troll through a likely area and 360 would reveal which direction to go. Had I not had it on the boat I would have found maybe 1/4 of the beds by just looking in those adverse conditions.

On that same trip MEGA 360 also really helped while cisco jigging in 50-70 feet. I could see which direction the pod was moving and either make a cast to them or try and get on top of them again. This was the first time I’d really used to on suspended fish and it was awesome! I definitely had to up my range in the deeper water to stay on them though as there was so much “space” below the boat.

Once again up north 360 revealed a pile of fish just off the drop off. It showed Trevor and I exactly where to cast and we made a mess of them. There were actually a couple spots like this where I could see the bass sitting just off the break and we could cast right to them. I’m really excited about adding MEGA LIVE to the system when it becomes available in September.
