Case of the Monday’s West
Mondays are going to be big this year! I’m talking about the Case of the Mondays – West on the Lakeshore (White, Muskegon, Grand River). Last year we had over 30 boats in almost every event last year. The big turnouts are a result of how well the division is ran, the lakes, and all these contingencies that are specific to this division. If you looking to get more efficient on the lakeshore these 3 hour tournaments really help and it can pay to do so! We’ve even got plaques for first place winners every night this year and who doesn’t like that. Even better they are sponsored by Todd Elliott Farm Bureau Insurance. I really hope some of my fellow fisherman will take the time to connect with him and have him look over their current insurance policies. He’ll make sure you have the RIGHT insurance coverage and also might save you some money.
Unfortunately we’re going to be having a memorial tournament for one of the Monday night regulars this year. If you’ve fished Monday’s in the past you’ve fished against Mitch Hausman. Mitch was a great guy and always fun to have around on Monday’s. He will be missed but look forward to announcements regarding a memorial tournament soon.
It’s going to be a fun season again with a lot of fish catching on those fisheries. Come on out and get paid.
2024 Lakeshore Contingencies
Fish For Free – from Nick Holtrop – Realtor with Blue House Properties. Fish all 12 events and be entered in a random drawing to fish for free in the 2025 series.
Big Bass of the Year – From Marty Herzhaft with One Step Up Lawncare. Out of the pool of anglers that fish all 12 events the biggest bass will pay 500 dollars.
Smallest Sack of the Year – Fish at least 8 events in the division and have the smallest 5 fish limit from that pool of anglers and win 250 dollars.
First Out of the Money – Each week the first out of the money team is going to go home with a 2k jigs gift card. 2k jigs has some great products so it won’t be hard for anyone to find something they like.
Big Bass of the Week – From Scott Snellen and Fenwick fishing. Each week the big bass of the week will receive a 50 dollar gift card to D&R Sports. However you must have a 2024 Fenwick Rod purchased from a qualified retailer. There’s a whole list but a few that cater to bass guys are ClearH2O Tackle, D&R Sports, and The Outdoorsman. You can find the whole list at the WMB member portal. After purchase you must show Kyle and Dave proof of receipt and the QR code that comes on the rod. I picked my rod up over the weekend and that process was super smooth.
