High School Bass Workshop - Feb 16
February 16th 6:30-830 pm at the church in Byron I'll be participating in one of the SPI winter bass workshops. These are free and designed for highschool and middle school teams. I'll be talking about bass fishing electronics. Everything from the basics to interpreting a bunch of screenshots from my units. Get your team registered on the SPI website and come out for a good time and hopefully some new knowledge. Register at this link - https://sportspersonsministries.org/feb16-bass-workshop
While I'm still bumming about our short ice season and especially never getting an opportunity to take the girls ice fishing this season. The show must go on and while I'm not switching to bass quite yet. I am starting to think about getting my rig ready for the season. I'm sure I'm not the only one and I'm sure some of you have bought new graphs, shallow water anchors, and trolling motors this off-season or maybe you just want to upgrade the wiring in your rig to get better performance out of your units. Installing that stuff and rewiring a rig can be intimidating and isn't for everyone. If you need some help get a hold of Brandon at Sonar Solutions Boat Rigging sooner rather than later. Get a hold of Brandon on the linked Facebook page above neverenoughoutdoors@gmail.com or 269-680-1994.
I've also got to give a shout out to friends and family who have started their own small business or switched careers. Many of you might know Andy Burleson but you might not know he started Duke Creek Custom Tackle. Creating custom molds for tackle manufacturers, custom ice rods, and tackle manufacturing is where it's starting. It will be fun to see where Andy takes this. You can find out some more information on Duke Creek's Facebook page.
Last but not least, my brother has made a career change and is one of Michigan's newest Farm Bureau agents. He services the entire state for whatever your insurance needs might be. It has been eye opening having him take a look at my current insurance policies before I make the switch. There will be a lot more on this later as he gets more involved as well as some stuff that applies to tournament fishing.
